Harvard Rescinds Offers of Admission

There are many lessons taught and messages shared with our students about social media, the most prevalent one being the caution that what is shared on the internet is there forever. Similarly, what is posted may become public even if that is not the intention of the person posting.

We encourage you to follow the link below to read about a real-life lesson that a number of students admitted to Harvard’s class of 2021 just learned when their offers of admission were rescinded by the university due to their social media posting.

This is real and it is scary, but it is also preventable.  Students, please heed the message that questionable activity on social media can absolutely have terrible consequences for you. Parents, please do everything you can to help your children understand this message.
